ABM Statement of Faith

The Godhead

We believe that there is one true living God eternally existent in three distinct persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit- and being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. God, through Jesus Christ, is the Creator of the earth and all things seen and unseen, and He also upholds, sustains, governs all things. He providentially directs all that exists and He will bring all things to proper consummation in Christ Jesus, to the glory of His name.

The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible (all 66 books) is the only word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and God-breathed, written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is without error and is useful for all aspects of life, spirituality, ministry, and understanding and knowing God and His ways. It is the final authority for all we believe.

Jesus Christ, God the Son

We believe that the Word descended from Heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary and was named Yeshua (Jesus). This Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ (Messiah) is the pre-existent eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, the eternal Son God became flesh and will forever be fully God and fully man; God incarnate. Jesus Christ is the fullness of the God-head bodily and the express image of God the Father, who dwells in light unapproachable and Whom no man has seen or can see and live. Through Him, God the Father created all things, seen and unseen, has given Him all authority in Heaven and on Earth, and has put all things in subjection under Him.

The Atonement

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are deserving of God’s wrath, judgment, and punishment. While mankind was still helpless and enemies of God, Christ died for the ungodly. God demonstrates His love towards us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus lived a perfect, pure, and sinless earthly life to be the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world and to atone for the sin of mankind. Through His sacrificial death, Christ satisfied the wrath of God so man could be reconciled back to God. Christ rose from the dead bodily on the third day, ascended to Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will return to the earth again to reign in righteousness.

Salvation & The Christian Life

We believe that it is through believing and trusting in Jesus’ death and resurrection that a lost sinner, deserving of death and hell, can be reconciled to God. We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father. We believe that all who receive Christ become joint heirs with Him, and at death, their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness.

We believe that it should be the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit.

God the Holy Spirit

We believe the Lord Jesus is the Baptizer of the Holy Spirit, in whom we are also sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates the believer, forever indwells and equips the believer for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit desires to fill, empower, and anoint believers for witness and ministry.

Hell

We believe that when unbelievers die, without accepting Christ as their Lord & Savior by grace alone through faith alone, they are consigned to hell there to await the Day of Judgement. Jesus will judge the living and the dead on this Day and unbelievers will be judged, punished and tormented in the lake of fire with eternal consciousness for all eternity.
